Hilton Rudolph “Buddy” Matthews age 84, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 at Nash General Hospital.
Born in Elm City, August 17, 1927, he was the son of the late James Edwin and Alice Thomas Matthews.
He is preceded in death by his sister Helen Matthews Simpson.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Glennie Edwards Matthews of the home, son Mike and wife Cathy Matthews, four grandchildren; sisters Rachel Matthews Lamm and Lucy Paul Matthews Flowers both of Wilson.
Services were held Monday December 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. graveside at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of ones choice. Arrangements by Johnson funerals and Cremations, Rocky Mount.
