JOHN HENRY RICHARDSON
NASHVILLE – John Henry Richardson died March 17, 2007. He was born September 11, 1919 in Nash County. son of the late Audrick E. and Claudia Lindsey, Richardson.He was preceded in death by two sisters: Ruby R. Goddard, and Pauline R. Turner, three brothers: Earl Richardson, Norman Richardson and T.J. Richardson.

John retired from Burlington Industries after 32 years of dedicated service, and attended Nashville Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years, Eloise Tharrington Richardson of the home, daughter Mary John and husband Alvin Matthews, son John Wayne Richardson and companion Shirley Weaver all of Nashville N.C. Two grandsons James Timothy Matthews and wife Kimberly of Nashville and Michael Shane Richardson and fiancee Pam Cherry of Rocky Mount NC two granddaughters Janet M. Williams and husband John of Battleboro N.C.,and Beth Matthews of Charlotte N.C. great-granddaughter Mara Caitlin Matthews of Nashville, NC; Great Grandson Collin Chase Richardson of Rocky Mount, sister-in-law Dorothy F Richardson, along with nine nieces and seven nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home with Dr, Norman Mitchell and Rev. Jason Gault, burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville. The family received friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and other times at the Matthews home.
