Ronald A. Chilcoat, 77, died Thursday, November 10, 2011. He was born November 16, 1933 in McCook, Nebraska son of the late Howard and Molly Kern Chilcoat.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Chilcoat; son Gene Spencer and wife Lynne of Middlesex; daughters, Gail Hayes of Carbondale CO, and Lisa Sherrod and her husband Eddie of Rocky Mount; brothers, Bobby Chilcoat and wife Gloria of Garner and Dean Chilcoat of Nashville; sister, Linda Chilcoat of Fuquay Varina; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Macedonia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ron Hawley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 551 Macedonia Church Road, Spring Hope, NC 27822.
