GORDON GRANVILLE JANNEY
Gordon Granville Janney passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011. He was born January 12, 1921 in Roanoke VA, son of the late Albert Cleveland Janney and Lonnie Janney Cutler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Lucy Howell Janney; grandson, Brian Wayne Janney; brothers, Harold and Albert Janney; and sisters, Thelma Stump and Mildred Newland.

He is survived by his daughter, Sue and husband Bruce Vick; sons, Wayne and wife Judy Janney and Terry and wife Angel Janney, and Mike and wife Cindy Janney; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.

The family received friends and relatives from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Parkwood Baptist Church followed by a service at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Mark Pridgen officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
