Funeral services for John “Short Boy” Harrison, age 65, who passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011, will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the St. Delight Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Harrison Family Cemetery. The Rev. William E. Holloway will officiate.
Survivors include: partner Mattie Massenburg of Nashville; daughter Abigail Massenburg of Rocky Mount; sons Robert Harrison of Rocky Mount, Christopher Hedgepeth of Rocky Mount and Earl Massenburg of Nashville; sisters Ida Small and Juanita Benton, both of Nashville; brother Norman Harrison of Washington, D.C.; and five grandchildren.
Open visitation will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 3-8 p.m.
