VANN RUFFIN “BOOT” COLLIE
Vann Ruffin “Boot” Collie, age 68 passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011. He was born June 01, 1943 in Franklin County, the son of the late Robert Joseph Collie and Hazel Strickland Collie. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Russell “Cullen” Collie, Charles Orlando Collie, and Jimmy Earl Collie; sister, Joyce Ann Cowan; sister-in-law, Betty Lou Adams; nephews, Chris Eugene Collie and Jacob Lynn Collie.

He is survived by his wife  Jeanette Turner Collie; children, Judith Carol Collie of Rocky Mount, Sandra Jeanette Lloyd (Ronnie) of Rocky Mount, Christopher Joel Collie (Kim) of Nashville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Clayton Collie (Mary Lee) of Henderson and Anthony Lane Collie of Spring Hope; sister-in-law, Dorothy Parker Collie (Charles); and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 2  p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the funeral home chapel at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home in Rocky Mount with Pastor Daniel Bran and Elder Dwight Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to NASH - Nash Autism Seeking Hope, 5441 West Mount Drive, Nashville NC 27856 in honor of two of his grandchildren.

Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
