MYRTLE WINSTEAD JOYNER
Myrtle Winstead Joyner, age 81, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Born in Rocky Mount July 25, 1930, the daughter of the late Selby Curtis Winstead and Ruth Daughtridge Winstead, she married Jesse L. Joyner in August 1951. They enjoyed their life together until his death in 1986.

She is survived by her children; daughter, Janice J. Cox and husband Cleve of Arapahoe; son, Tony Joyner and wife Pam of Greenville; son, Chris Joyner of Raleigh; and four grandchildren.

A service to remember Myrtle “Sam” was held at 10 a.m Friday, August 19, 2011 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Marty Cauley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St Paul United Methodist Church, 1217 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount NC 27803.
