GEORGE EDDIE “POPS” TAYLOR
George Eddie “Pops” Taylor, age 73, of Rocky Mount, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011.

Born November 18, 1937 in Franklin County,  he was a son of the late Woodard George and Laura Massey Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois Joyner Taylor; a daughter, Kimberly Taylor Brayboy and his son-in-law, Alan, of Rocky Mount; a son, Eddie Wayne Taylor and his wife, Stacey Vaeth, of Rocky Mount; a sister, Peggy Taylor Everette and her husband, Will, of Spring Hope; a brother, Roger Taylor and his wife, Gaile, of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brothers, Percy and Thommie Taylor.

Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 in the chapel of Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Pridgen officiated.

The family receive friends from 3:30 - 5 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Entombment at Rocky Mount Memorial Park will be private.
