SPRING HOPE - J. Harvey Burnette, 83, of Webbs Mill Rd., died Sunday, July 3, 2011. He was born in Nash County on November 13, 1927 to the late David and Nannie Vick Burnette.
Funeral service will be Wednesday July 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Spring Hope Funeral Home with Doug Whitley officiating. Interment will follow in Bailey City Cemetery.
Surviving: daughter, Joan Pitts and husband Keith of Nashville; sister, Pansy Creech of Raleigh; brother, James David “J.D.” Burnette of Bailey; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Coggins Burnette and a sister, Virginia B. Farr.
The family received friends at Spring Hope Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at 6594 Old Bailey Hwy., Nashville.
