WARREN BASCO LEWIS III
Warren Basco Lewis III, 38, of Middlesex died Thursday. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Southern Nash Senior High School. Burial followed in Hollywood Cemetery. Middlesex.  The servic was officiated by the Rev. Curtis Pettit, the Rev. Bob Rose and the Rev. Steve Edmondson.

The family received friends 6 – 9 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at 10095 North Walnut Street, Middlesex.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Shannon Bailey Lewis; two daughters, Lauren Bailey Lewis and Ashley Nicole Lewis all of the home; his parents, Warren Basco Lewis Jr. and Ann Mitchell Lewis; his grandfather, Warren Basco Lewis Sr. and wife, Louise; an uncle and aunt, Carlton and Debra Lewis and a nephew, Preston Scott Lewis all of Middlesex; uncles and aunts, Bob and Jane Boyette of Wilson; Bernice and Donna Mitchell of Carolina Beach; Dean and Faye Holton of Louisburg, Danny and Sue Miles of Raleigh; aunt, Miriam Mitchell of Smithfield; mother-in-law and father-in-Law, Dennis and Brenda Bailey of Spring Hope; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Christopher and Jessica Bailey, Dennis Wayne and Sandra Bailey all of Wilson; nieces, Emily and McKenna Bailey and  family pet boxer, Buster.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry W. Mitchell; his grandmothers, Sudie Belle Mitchell Hamm and Ora Hough Lewis; first cousin, Carlton Bruce Lewis Jr.; his uncle, Kenneth Harvey Mitchell  and several other cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the North Carolina Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association, 95 Edgewater Road, Washington, NC 27889 or the Warren B. Lewis III Scholarship Fund, c/o of the Heritage Bank, PO Box 70, Middlesex, NC 27557. 

Arrangements are by Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.
