RALEIGH – Doreen Miller Avent, 65, passed away, Wednesday, May 11, 2011. She was born August 30, 1945 in Nash County to the late George A. and Annie Belle Parham Miller. Doreen was preceded in death by both parents and Brother George A. Miller (Al), Jr.
She is survived by her son Mack Lee Avent, Jr. and wife Shelby of Snow Hill; brother Paul Miller of Nashville; sister Joyce Miller Winstead of Raleigh; four grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
Visitation was Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 1:00 until 2:00PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home of Nashville. Funeral service was Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.
