WILLIAM FRANKLIN LONG
William Franklin Long, 68, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011. He was born March 13, 1942 in Nash County. William was the son of the late, Walter and Mary Stallings Long.  He was preceded in death by sisters, Sue Corkum, Betty Vick and Linda Phelps.

He is survived by his wife, Maggie Allred Long, children, William F. Long Jr., Randy long, Melissa Murphy, Wanda Height, Jonathan Long and Rita Long; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Edith Crumpler, Peggy Shelton and Mildred Cottrell.

A service was held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Carpenter. Visitation followed after the service.
