Tom O. Palmer, age 76, of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011.
Born on July 16, 1934 in Owosso, MI, he was the son of the late Harold F. and Eleanor Parker Palmer.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Wesson Palmer; four daughters, Christine Marie Clark and her husband, Frank, of Stone Mountain, GA, Patricia Ann Palmer and her fiancé, Mark Jones, of Charlotte, Susan J. Tweedy and her husband, Scott, of Nashville, and Patti J. Anderson and her husband, Bill, of Tarboro; two sons, Thomas L. Palmer and his wife, Natalia Gallego, of Alpharetta, GA and Adam W. Sullivan and his fiancé, Debbie, of Spring Hope; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Ricky Sorie and the Rev. Brandon Dees officiated. Burial was at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
The family received friends from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 505 South Englewood Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or to Dawson Baptist Church, 9905 Thirteen Bridges Road, Enfield, NC 27823.
