SHIRLEY LUCAS WELLS
Shirley Lucas Wells, 75, passed away, Saturday, January 15, 2011.  She was born August 7, 1935 in Wilson County. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Jennie Lamm Lucas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie “Robert” Wells.

She is survived by one son, Duane Wells and wife JoAnne of Rocky Mount, two daughters, Vicky Howell, Beth Walls and husband Paul, all of Rocky Mount, sisters, Faye DeGuglielmo and husband Al of Rocky Mount and Linda Winders and husband Wayne of Elm City; brother-in-law, Jack Pridgen, sister-in-law, Geraldine Mangum, eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Monday, January 17, 2011 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashville, and graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society at 8300 Health Park, Raleigh, NC 27615
