East End Baptist Church
Pastor Mack E. Battle will facilitate a special brotherhood session for men in the community every first and third Saturday at 10 a.m.
The church will hold a community prayer meeting and testimonial service at 7 p.m. each Wednesday. The service will be followed by Pastor Mack E. Battle facilitating in a verse-by-verse study of the book of 2nd Corinthians.
The church will celebrate its 90th anniversary on October 8 and 9. Dr. Ernestine H. Battle, native daughter and the Senior Pastor of New Hope FWB Church, along with her congregation, of Washington, DC, will come to share in the celebration. A block celebration will be held on October 8 from 3 until 6 p.m. with food, games, music, praise dance, and words of inspiration to the community. Edgecombe/Nash and Vicinity Ministers' Wives and Ministers' Widows
The association will host a meeting on October 9 at 6 p.m. at East End Baptist Church, 928 E Highland Avenue. St. John Missionary Baptist
The church will hold a pastor's appreciation service on October 9 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Harold Miller, of Tupper Memorial Baptist Church in Raleigh, as the guest speaker.

Social Union Baptist Church

Faith Family Worship Center
Right Turn and Faith Family Worship Center will have their monthly Gospel Singing on Friday, October 14th. The featured group is The Ambassadors. The church is located at 4839 Redman Road, Rocky Mount. The singing begins at 7 p.m. and supper will be served at 6 p.m.

First Timothy Church of Love
The church will hold a clothes giveaway on Saturday, October 15 from 9 a.m. until the clothes give out. Men, Women, girls, boys and infant clothes will be available as well as blankets, coats and shoes. Hotdogs and sodas will also be served.
