East End Baptist Church
The church holds a community prayer meeting and testimonial service at 7 p.m. each Wednesday evening followed by Pastor Mack E. Battle facilitating in a verse-by-verse study of the book of 1st Corinthians.
The Sisterhood Outreach Ministry will host a “Church Etiquette” session, part II on Tuesday, February 10 and 17 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at East End Baptist Church, 928 E Highland Avenue. Mrs. Sadie V. Moody, instructor for the NC Women’s Convention and retired educator for Nash Rocky Mount Schools, will serve as the facilitator.
 
Emanuel Chapel O.F.W.B. Church
The church will hold a Prayer, Praise and Bible Study every Wednesday night, after the first, third and fourth Sundays each month from 7:30 until 9 p.m. This month, the study is on 2nd Corinthians 5:1.

Greater Joy Baptist Church

Edgecombe/Nash and Vicinity Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Association
The group will meet, Monday February 9th at 6 p.m. at East End Baptist Church, 928 E. Highland Avenue.  All wives or widows of a licensed minister are invited to be a part of this association. Mr. Reginald Speight, Director of Economic Development from Congressman GK Butterfield’s office will host a “Faith Based Grant Writing Forum.” Please notify First Lady Deborah J. Driven to Destiny Outreach Center
The church presents a Women Empowerment Supportive Service for Women of all ages every first Monday of the month from 12 until 1 p.m. Topics include things women are dealing with today, such as marriage, family, goals, education and life. Space is limited and seating is limited. The center will hold talent show auditions for youth ages 7-16 years old on Saturday, January 31. Rap, Hip Hop, Dance, Singing,Spoken Word (No Profanity, Lyrics/music must be clean). A special evening service will be held at 3 p.m. on February 1, with Co-Pastor, Hattie Alston of St. Mary Church in Whitakers. The church is located at 9779 York Chapel Road in Nashville.

Association Woman’s
Missionary Union
The North Roanoke Baptist Association Woman’s Missionary Union will hold its 19th annual mother/daughter overnight camp for girls in grades 1-12 and their moms at Camp Mundo Vista (near Asheboro, NC) on April 24-25.  Camp theme is “Happy Feet!”  Cost is $55 per person.  Registration deadline is Feb. 6.  For registration forms, go to nrbawmu.weebly.com or call (252)904-0686.

Galatia AME Church
The church will hold a 100 Men in Black and Red Program on Sunday, February 8 at 4 p.m. The Rev. James Worhty, pastor of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, will be the speaker. Various male choirs will render the music. The church is located at 320 Galatia Street in Nashville.

Faith Family Worship P.H. Church
The church will hold a BBQ Pork Plate Sale on January 30 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Plates include potatoes, slaw, bread and cake and cost $7. For info, call Rev. Gerald Parker at 252-544-1354. Proceeds go towards the building fund. The church is located at 4839 Redman Road.

Red Oak Baptist Church
The Kingdom Heirs will be in concert on February 6, 2015 at the church in the Family Life Center, 4861 Church Street, Red Oak. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert will be at 7 p.m. A love offering will be received.
