Dorothy Johnson Wachowicz, 80, passed away, Saturday, October 12, 2013.  She was born in Nash County, July 11, 1933 to the late Lloyd and Sylvia Griffin Patterson.  In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby Johnson and Walter Wachowicz; son, Carl Ray Johnson and a grandson, Paul Lowe.
She is survived by sons, Bobby and Tony Johnson, John and Stanley Wachowicz; daughters, Dorothy Sykes, Rae Barnes, Sheila Lowe, Bessie Short, Mary Layton, Theresa Winstead; sisters, Peggy Whitley, Elsie Mills; twenty grandchildren; and twenty eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Ricky Barnes officiating.
