John Henry Daniel, Jr., 89, passed away on February 4, 2013.

He was the son of John Henry Daniel of Halifax County and Rocky Mount and Mary Henrietta Jones Daniel of Bertie and Hertford Counties and Rocky Mount.

He is survived by his wife Augusta Evans Currie Daniel, their daughter Mary Frances Daniel Wilson and her husband Braxton of Raleigh, and his sister Ruth Daniel Bates of Orlando, Florida.

John was preceded in death by his infant son, Stedman Currie Daniel; his sisters, Jocile Daniel Eatman, Mary Henrietta Daniel Gordon, and Harriet Cole Daniel; and his brother, William Hill Daniel.

The memorial service will be conducted by the Reverend Peter Bynum at First Presbyterian Church, Rocky Mount on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 2 pm. Visitation will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.
