Leon Marion Eason, 79, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016. He was born March 18, 1937 in Johnston County. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, son, Gregg Holmes, granddaughter, Destiny Raynor and eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Nell Eason; three sons, Preston Holmes, Dennis Davis (Carrie) and John Davis; five daughters, Cheryl Treacy (Greg), Catherine Beasley (Frank), Connie Leversee, Nancy Holmes and Debra Bailey; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park in Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Tammy and Jimmy Colbert.
