Maerean B. Poland, 81, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. She was born September 25, 1934 to the late Thomas and Ruby Mooney Bledsoe. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas Poland and grandson, Michael Wayne Boone.

She is survived by three daughters, Ann Mangis (Dave), Georgia Wilson (Charles) and Donna Wilson (Joe); one brother, Tony Bledsoe (Julie); one sister, Evangeline Rackley; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Sunday, May 22 at Rocky Mount Memroial Park in Rocky Mount.
