Joyce Marie Fisher Evans, age 85, of Rocky Mount, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2015. Born in Huntsville, AL on February 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Fisher and Elma Golden Fisher. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Rev. Lawrence D. Evans; her son, Doug Evans; her son-in-law, Larry Proctor; her two sisters; and her four brothers.

She is survived by daughters, Donna Evans Proctor, and Sharon Drupple; her son, Mark Evans, and his wife, Ronette; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Dr. Harry Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
