John Alvin Coley, Jr., 60, passed away April 11, 2015. He was born in Edgecombe County March 19, 1955 to the late John and Amer Coley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Obie and Marvin Coley.
He is survived by his sons, John Alvin Coley III, Landis Coley and Michael Pridgen; stepsons, Michael and Jay Coley; daughters, Chasity Edwards (Chris), Crystal Smith (Edward); former wife of 11 years, Sissy and her sons, Junior, Brandon and Steven; brothers, Thomas, Mark, Wayne and Keith Coley and John Boy; sisters, Betty Ann, Diane; 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Jackson officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1052 S. First St., Nashville, NC 27856, to assist family with funeral expenses.
