MARY FRANCES BROWN BURGESS

Mary Frances Brown Burgess, age 84, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014. Born in Northampton County on September 21, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Garland Edison Brown and Flaura Pritchette Brown. She was also predeceased in death by her husband, Joseph Norman Burgess and by one brother-in-law, Richard Tabb.
She is survived by her daughter, Norma Wells and her husband James Robert of Sharpsburg; one son, Keith Burgess and his wife Debra of Rocky Mount; her sisters, Kathleen Evans and her husband Ellis of Murfreesboro and Ann Evans of Franklin, VA.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in the chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, with Pastor Ken Cobb officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
