Christine Beatrice Trevathan Edwards, 79, passed away July 17, 2014.  She was born in Nash County on May 28, 1935 to the late Henry Wilson Trevathan and Minnie Gertrude Jones.  Christine is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert James Edwards;  brother Mack Allen Trevathan, Sr.; sisters, Martha E. T. Glover Minnick and Maxine Trevathan Guthrie.
Christine is survived by her two daughters, Donna Marie Edwards Greene and husband Barney and Kimberly Jane Edwards Proctor and husband Scott; sister, Loretta Trevathan Vester; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home  with Elder Bill Everette.   Entombment  followed service at Pineview Cemetery.
