Ronald “Dean” Metcalf, Jr., age 48, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014. Born in Elmira NY on January 26, 1966, he was the son of Ronald Dean Metcalf, Sr. and Catherine Garrahan Metcalf, both of Rocky Mount.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kaye Parker Metcalf; three children, Robert Jackson, Melissa Jackson and Jennifer Valadez; eight grandchildren; one brother, Richard Metcalf and wife Suzanne; two sisters, Rachelle Nichols and husband Harold and Renee Peele and husband G.T.; and seven nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 2pm Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Potter officiating. Visitation with the family will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
